Message from the Museum of Madeira Heritage (US) "Antonio died on February 15, 1920, New Bedford,MA at the age of 37 (so young!!) , Died of Broncho-pneumonia, Influenza. (There was a Influenza Flu here 1919-1920)
Buried at St John Cemetery, New Bedford, MA - St Joseph Section , Plot # 901

I stopped by the Cemetery office this morning and was informed of Antonio's plot #. I walked thru St Joseph Section to find his grave, but sadly it must have been a single plot with a flat stone and many of the stones are covered over with grass, ( actually is 100 years ago)."
As far as the details of Antonio's death, we have a collection of Madeiran obituaries at the Museum, Antonio's obit was not the usual newspaper obituary, but an index card with the information handwritten from the Cemetery.
