    • Born around 1642 in Champdeniers in Poitou, he arrived in Bourbon on April 27, 1671 with the fleet from The Hague. Julien "La Roche" was installed in Madagascar where he stayed for an undetermined number of years, without knowing exactly in what capacity. Married to Perrine Campelle before 1679, he has five boys and three girls. Settled in Sainte-Suzanne before 1690, he was compromised in the Vauboulon affair, brought back to France in 1696 by the Falcon of the Serquigny squadron and imprisoned in Lorient. Sentenced to the galleys, he was attached to the chain of Brittany then transported to Marseille. He died in the galleys at an undetermined date.
